Cornwall has its pasty and Bakewell has its tart, they argue, but the brothers think there is a gap in the market in Stratford.

After walking around the town and getting a feel for Tudor methods of cooking, the celebrity chefs serve up three specially-designed dishes to the public and get them to vote.

Will it be the Stratford Melter Belter, a beef brisket sandwich; Shakespeare’s Codpiece, slow-roasted pulled pork wrapped in pastry; or Juliet’s Fool, a decadent raspberry and chocolate pudding?

The brothers - who headlined last year’s Stratford Food Festival - are letting Jean Haslam at the Deli Café serve up the winning concoction, and they hope other restaurants in the town will follow her lead.
