Easter road closures confirmed

THIS Easter’s Service of Witness will see Sheep Street, High Street and Henley Street in Stratford-upon-Avon closed to traffic during certain hours on Good Friday.

Last year, the service was staged on Waterside and followed by a procession of worshippers to Bridge Street roundabout for the symbolic positioning of a crucifixion cross.

However, unlike previous years, Bridge Street remained open to traffic for the event.

Last year was also the first time the procession of worshippers were not accompanied by a police escort.

This year’s closures take place on Friday 29th March from mid-morning onwards.
