ALCESTER'S Greig Hall has been registered as a Community Asset this week, to the delight of residents campaigning to save the hall.
This means if the building on Kinwarton Road is sold there could be a delay of up to six months, allowing community groups to raise finance and develop a business plan so they can keep the hall instead.
After Stratford District Council registered the building on Monday, Alcester councillor Mike Gittus, said: “This registration will continue to add protection to this valuable, much loved and iconic building for future generations.”
