Fire crews called to Honeybourne crash

FIRE crews from Evesham and Pebworth were called to a car crash in Honeybourne at around 12.20pm today

The collision took place in Buckle Street, just near the Pebworth crossroads, and involved a transit van and a car. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the front of the car in a ditch, with a male casualty trapped inside it.

Watch commander Mark Frost, from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: “Crews secured the vehicle using specialised stabilising equipment and then, working alongside ambulance staff, removed the car roof to reach the man trapped inside it.”

The casualty was then taken by land ambulance to hospital. There were no other injuries reported.
