Birmingham Road closed after lorry crash

TWO LORRIES have been involved in a collision on the Birmingham Road (A435) at Mappleborough Green this morning, (Tuesday), closing the road in both directions.

The crash occurred shortly before 8am on the stretch of road between The Dog public house and Badgers garden centre and involved a red Volvo lorry and a white Scania lorry.

No-one was injured but there has been a significant spillage of diesel on the road. Drivers are advised to avoid this area and find an alternative route.

Elsewhere, a lane on the northbound exit slip road at J15 of the M40 (Longbridge Island) is closed because of a broken down vehicle and recovery work.
