Female pedestrian killed in collision with car

A FEMALE pedestrian was killed in a collision with a car near the army base in Kineton on Saturday night.

The woman was declared dead at the scene after she was hit by a silver Skoda Octavia travelling towards Banbury on the B4100.

A second car, a red Ford Ka, was travelling in the opposite direction but was not directly involved in the incident.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses who saw the crash, the woman, or either vehicle before the collision occurred. Contact PC Geoff Bell on 01926 414415.

The name of the woman who died will not be released until the formal identification process has been completed and all close relatives have been informed.
