Stratford Town 1 Didcot Town 1
STRATFORD Town shared the spoils with Didcot Town in this entertaining Calor Southern League Division One South & West encounter at the DCS Stadium on Tuesday evening.
A goal on the stroke of half-time from striker Matt West gave Stratford a 1-0 lead at the interval. But a deflected free-kick on 55 minutes from Pablo Haysham earned the Railwaymen a point in a game where a draw was probably a fair result.
Town manager Carl Adams was pleased with his side’s performance. “I thought that we played well against a good, well-organised team,” he said. “We had chances in the second-half to go on and win the game but overall I’m satisfied with the result.
“We’ve got four points from the last two games after the great win at Paulton on Saturday, which is great. The standard in this league is very good and we are still adjusting to life in it.”
Adams also revealed that he is set to re-sign former centre-back Melvin Gourlay.
