MIDLAND Alliance leaders Stratford Town suffered a fifth successive postponement when their home game against Boldmere St Michaels was called off on Saturday morning.
The recent thaw and heavy rain had left the DCS Stadium pitch waterlogged and denied Carl Adams’ side the chance to maintain their lead at the top. Second-placed Stourport Swifts took full advantage with a 3-1 home win over lowly Continental Star, a result which narrows the gap at the top to 13 points.
Stratford will try again tonight (Tuesday) to play their rescheduled away game at Tividale, kick-off 7.45pm. That game had been postponed the previous Saturday.
