Stratford Town 3 Banbury United 6 (AET) - Birmingham Senior Cup Round 1
STRATFORD Town manager Carl Adams praised his much-changed side after they exited the Birmingham Senior Cup at the hands of Southern Premier League outfit Banbury United after extra-time at the DCS Stadium on Tuesday night.
Adams took the opportunity to rest several of his senior players and made five changes from the team that won at Causeway United on Saturday to maintain their unbeaten season at the top of the Midland Alliance.
Stratford were 0-3 down at half-time, but fought back valiantly in the second-half against a team two leagues above them to take the game into extra-time at 3-3. Unfortunately they ran out of steam, succumbing to defeat in the extra period.
