VIDEO: Swan found in River Avon with an umbrella handle in its neck

A SWAN that had an umbrella handle lodged in its neck was choking on the River Avon near the Royal Shakespeare Theatre today (Friday).

Staff at the theatre phoned former Mayor of Stratford and swan warden, Cyril Bennis, who located the feisty bird and pulled the umbrella handle out.
