Thousands caught up in web of crime

CYBER crime is costing the people of Warwickshire an estimated £2.5million a year. The figure is revealed today (Tuesday) among the findings of the most in-depth survey of its kind ever undertaken in the county. The survey results suggest that 82,200 people fell victim to on-line crime in the last year in Warwickshire, while nearly a quarter of a million people in the county feel at risk online. Worringly, the results suggest thousands of people have no idea how to protect themselves online.
