PRIME Minister Theresa May has survived a vote of no confidence on her leadership of the Conservative Party.
On hearing the news Nadhim Zahawi, MP for Stratford-upon-Avon, commented on Twitter, “The result means we can get on with the job of delivering the Brexit people voted for … bringing our country together again … and focusing on the other issues that matter to people at home. Respect to Theresa May for her relentless focus and hard work. Thankless task”.
Mrs May secured 63 per cent of the total vote of Conservative MPs, she is now immune from a leadership challenge for one year.
