Hepworth treble in vain as Bulldogs show their spirit

GARETH Hepworth recorded a treble for Shottery B but they lost 6-4 to Colebridge Bulldogs in the Stratford and District Table Tennis Association.

Mike Evetts and Dean Hicks won two singles for the Bulldogs and teamed up to defeat Hepworth and Tony Remes in the doubles and Chris Welsh produced the other point for Colebridge.

Captain Tim Fell won one singles match for Shottery but he lost two others in final game deciders.

John Price marked his return to Snitterfield with a treble as they were 6-4 winners at Blazing Saddles while Kevin Taylor chalked up his third treble of the campaign to help JLM Hussars maintain their perfect start by winning 7-3 at Henley B.

Colebridge Pasties were 8-2 winners against Tanworth Taipans and Ashorne won by the same score at Veterans.
