STRATFORD Town have won the battle to keep Will Grocott at Knights Lane.
The midfielder has ended weeks of speculation after agreeing a deal to remain at Town next season.
Grocott received a number of offers from other clubs, but the former Kettering Town man was happy to commit to a third season at Town in what he sees as a fresh start under new boss Darren Byfield.
“Despite receiving a number of generous offers from other clubs my heart is at Stratford,” he said.
“I have grown very attached to the club and the supporters and it’s been a big part of my life for the last two years.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of Darren’s plans and see it as a fresh start.
”I’m excited for all of the players that have stayed on and for the new arrivals as we enter the new league, I can’t wait for the season to start.”
