AN Alcester resident, aged in their 90s, woke to find two men in their bedroom in what police have described as a burglary.
The men were at a residence in St Marys Road and continued to open draws and cupboards pulling the contents out while trying to find things to steal.
The resident got out of bed and challenged them before dialling 999. At this point they left the premises and a vehicle was heard to drive away.
The two men in the house are described as aged between 35 to 40 years, stocky build, possibly “foreign”, wearing woolly hats, dark clothing and scarves across their faces.
It is believed that a further man was waiting for them outside and may have been the driver of the vehicle they left in. Further enquiries are ongoing. The incident happened on Friday 19th January.
“We are looking for witnesses that may have seen these males in the St Marys Road area – especially those that have CCTV that cover the footpaths and roads outside their properties,” a police spokesperson said.
