DEFENDER Reece Staley has rejoined FC Stratford after leaving Midland League Premier Division side Highgate United.
Staley, who was voted FC Stratford’s players’ player of the year last season, was training in pre-season with Stratford Town and manager Carl Adams advised him to join Highgate.
The young defender went on to make eight appearances for the Solihull-based side before suffering a broken hand.
Speaking of Reece’s return, FC Stratford boss Dave Poulson said: “We’re delighted to bring Reece back. I said when he left what a good player he was and how he showed a level of maturity in dealing with his move. It’s a big plus to welcome him back to FC Stratford.”
Staley featured in Saturday’s 6-0 win over Coventrians at the MoodChimp Stadium and is expected to feature again this weekend at Central Ajax.
