A SOLICITOR from Moreton Morrell will take part in a unique marathon run with his former Cambridge University team mates.
Richard Moon, a former England B, Barbarians, and Harlequins scrum-half, will run the Edinburgh Marathon tomorrow, Sunday, 28th May, in a relay with Rob Andrew, former England and Lions fly-half and a past director of operations for the RFU, and Gavin Hastings, former Scotland and Lions full-back.
The 1984 Cambridge University teammates and their partners will be running to raise money for Parkinson’s in support of Hastings’ wife, Diane, who has had the disease for more than ten years.
Mr Moon and his wife, Fiona, will run the first leg.
He said: “It’s a wonderful charity to which we have a personal connection through Diane, and we are honoured to be raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
Mr Moon is currently head of employment law at Leamington solicitors Blythe Liggins, and is a rugby commentator for BBC 5 Live Sports Extra and BBC CWR.
