THE kettle will be boiling at numerous locations across area when Macmillan Cancer Support hosts its annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning today, Friday, 30th September.
Events will take place at Wellesbourne Methodist Church and the One Stop in Bridge Street, Wellesbourne, Ettington Primary School, Thomas Jolyffe Primary School, St Andrew’s Parish Centre in Shottery, the Vauxhall car dealership and John Earle estate agents, both in Stratford, Mooch in Alcester, and Bonds, which was previously known as Stratford Antiques, at Dodwell Trading Estate in Evesham Road, and The Ferry pub in Alveston.
Staff at The Durham Ox pub in Shrewley will attempt to raise £1,000 by riding 300 miles on a static bike, while The Pen and Parchment, The Dirty Duck and The Garrick, all in Stratford, will also take part in fundraising.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is one of the biggest fundraisers for Macmillan. It was first held in 1990 and last year — its 25th anniversary — raised around £27.5million.
