Town boss Carl Adams said: “I’m disappointed that we got nothing from the game. I felt that we deserved at least a draw but we gave them both their goals with poor defending — and by that I mean from the team as a whole.

“We worked hard to get back into the game after their first goal and scored a well-worked equaliser. But then we gifted them the winner when all we needed to do was keep our concentration until the end.”

Town are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Shortwood United in a 7.45pm kick-off.
