Leamington’s Richard Batchelor opened the scoring in the tenth minute with a superb volley, but it was cancelled out on the half-hour mark by a glancing header from Town’s new striker Harvey Headley.

After James Mace steered a corner home for the away team halfway through the second-half, Town struck back almost immediately, 18-year-old substitute Sean Brain jinking inside two players before laying off to fellow sub Tyron Amory, who lashed home from long range.

After the game, Town manager Carl Adams was pleased yet cautious.
