Hospitalised for two days with a small blood clot on his brain, now his training has been pushed back until December.

Today, the Stratford lad told the Herald he was “gutted” about the six-month delay. But although he received some scarring and whiplash, as well as the worrying clot, he confirmed he was fine.

This week, police issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident, hoping to track down Dan’s attacker.

He is described as a white man, of average build with dark hair, believed to be early to mid 20s and between 5ft 10 and 6ft tall.
