Cllr Jackson has chosen Riding for the Disabled (Compton Verney branch) and the Beauchamp Chapel Restoration Campaign 2014 as his chairman’s charities for the year.

During his term of office the retiring chairman of the council, Cllr Chris Mills (Cons, Kineton), raised around £7,500 for his chairman’s charities, The Stroke Association, the Alzheimers Society and Riding for the Disabled, based in his ward at Compton Verney.

In the new ruling cabinet Cllr Sir William Lawrence (Cons, Aston Cantlow) has replaced Cllr Jonathan Spence (Cons, Bidford and Salford) as environmental portfolio holder.
