Paramedics were called to the Wellesbourne Road bend at 9.15am after the woman’s Vauxhall Vectra hit a tree side on.

Three fire engines were sent and firefighters cut the roof off the car while paramedics treated the woman for her injuries.

Suffering from neck and back pain, plus an injury to her wrist, she was taken to University Hospital in Coventry for treatment.

Elsewhere, a man was taken to hospital after a crash between a motorbike and a pushbike in Coughton.

The crash occurred at the junction of the A435 Birmingham Road and Coughton Fields Lane around 7.40am.

One man was injured in the crash, and taken to the Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.

The A435 was partially blocked and traffic was disrupted.

There was also a car crash in Milcote Road, Weston-on-Avon, around 9.30am.

One person with a minor injury was treated at the scene.
