Since then the search has been on to try and find relatives or any information about a man born in Stratford in 1947 and who served with the Royal Australian Regiment in South Vietnam.

Eventually his grave was traced to a churchyard in the market town of Bedale, 35 miles north of Leeds but it is not known why or who chose to have his ashes interred there.

The Office of War Graves, Australia, wanted to find relatives of Private Gould to get their permission to display photographs of him at a new memorial library being built in Washington DC.
